Mr. Samba Khonte Coulibaly, Business Developer at Sonatel Wholesale Solutions and Chairman of the ACE Consortium’s Regulation and Communication Sub-Committee, moderated a panel at ITW Africa in Nairobi on the theme “How resilient is our submarine infrastructure? Alongside Mark Tinka, Managing Director of TransmissionCo , Arnaud Keller Leygue, Senior Sales Manager for Western & Central Africa at Telecom Italia Sparkle and Patrick MBOGO, Group Projects & Planning Manager at Liquid Intelligent Technologies, Samba Khonte Coulibaly spoke about the wider perspective of sharing maritime space, with its immense natural, strategic and genetic resources.
Panelists stressed the need to diversify submarine cable routes and reinforce capillarity with a terrestrial backbone capable of crossing the African continent. They also insisted on the powerful new lever represented by power lines where necessary.
