ACE consortium celebrates 10 years (2012-2022)

19 December 2012 – 19 December 2022: The ACE consortium celebrates 10 years since the commissioning of the only submarine cable to connect 24 West African and European countries, equivalent to 450 million people gathered.

Directly for coastal countries, or through terrestrial links for landlocked countries like Mali or Niger, Africa Coast to Europe is also the only international submarine cable to connect Equatorial Guinea, Gambia, Guinea, Liberia, Mauritania, Sao Tome, and Principe and Sierra Leone to the global network. ACE remains a key telecom infrastructure and plays a key role in the development of Africa’s digital economy
